''Windswept Pine'' 2022. 100% Cotton Prints

$50.00

This is an oil painting of an iconic tree in Ontario: The Windswept Pine, located in Killbear Provincial Park near Parry Sound Ontario. The inspiration behind the paint came from to desire to preserve and display this tree’s natural form. Tones of blue, green and mauve in this beautiful landscape display the transition of spring into summer. By using a pastel colour palette, I feel this signifies the vulnerability of the tree’s deteriorating form. This was one of the final pictures taken before reinforcements were added to aid the structure of the tree and keep it from falling.

Medium: Oil Paint

Print size: 8 x 10 inches

Each print is on 100% cotton paper.
